  • Is Jade & Co. a private company?

    Yes, Jade & Co. China is privately and 100% own by a Singapore Holding name Komaspec Pte Ltd. Jade & Co. owners own three (3) other companies in China.

  • What is a contract manufacturer?

    A contract manufacturer process is when a firm makes a finished product under the label or brand of another firm based on their own specifications.


  • What is vertically integrated?

    Vertical integration is a style of management control for supply chain companies in which several steps in the production of a product are controlled by a single company.

  • What is the lean manufacturing methodology?

    Lean Manufacturing is an assembly-line methodology oriented toward achieving the shortest possible cycle time by eliminating waste. It is derived from the Toyota Production System.

  • What is Non Value Added steps (NVA)

    Non Value Added steps (NVA) is activities which do not contribuate to increase the value of a product or a process. Non Value Added steps are waste and should be eliminated.

  • How can I be sure that jade co group is the right partner for us?

    jade co group China is “Contract manufacturer” specializing in plastic and metal assembly.

  • What are the payment terms when we work with Jade & Co. China?

    Our payment terms are 40% at order and 60% at samples approval for Tooling. For regular orders, our payment terms are 40% at order and 60% at sight of BL.

  • How does Jade & Co. protect our Intellectual Property in China?

    Jade & Co. manufacture your products in-house in our own factory. Should we need to source some components from a sub-contractor we will only buy some parts of the puzzle, avoiding any sub-contractor to have a full understanding of your products.

  • How does Jade & Co. avoid late shipment?

    Jade & Co. is vertically integrated, thus ensuring to have full control of our operation in China. We also follow JIT and Lean Manufacturing Principle, allowing us to manufacture small batch with quick changeover set up.

  • Why do you have western manager base in China? Does it make you less competitive?

    The answer is NO. The reason is we believe communication and specifications are critical for lead time, quality and competitiveness. Having western manager enable us to be faster because we understand you better, reduce specifications and manufacturing mistake, thus reducing the waste all along the manufacturing process.

  • Jade & Co. factory is very clean and very organized, does it make you more expensive than other old factory in China?

    We believe a good organization in a clean factory enhance competiveness, reduce waste and improve team and satisfaction, making us more competitive for the same specifications of course.

  • Why Jade & Co. as a Chinese contract manufacturer have faster lead time than many of our counterpart?

    Lean Manufacturing and small / medium size batch manufacturing enable us to have a quick response for our buying in China.

  • Do we need to sign a NDA when working with Jade & Co. or any Chinese factory?

    Jade & Co. recommend you to sign a NDA with any potential suppliers. Should you not have NDA available, Jade & Co. will provide you our standard NDA.

  • Do I need to send a China 3rd party quality control inspection company to your factory before shipment?

    Should you wish to send anyone to our China factory to inspect goods before shipment or during production, you are welcome.

  • Does Jade & Co. follow social responsibility regulations in China

    Yes, we do our best to follow every rules and regulations to protect, help and support our team member. When we started Jade & Co. , we decided our business was not do contract manufacturing in China and AVOID any potential problem related to the regulations.

  • A design firm made my new products design in imperial, while from experience, China use metric system. What can I do?

    It is true that most standard components and raw material in China are in metric, but it is sometimes necessary to re-design base on Chinese standard and metric standard.

  • Is it true that Made in China products are not as good as other products made in USA / Canada or Europe?

    Everything is available in China, low quality and very high quality. If the quote you receive from a supplier is under the raw material price, you should ask yourself questions about their quality or their quote reliability!!!

  • China suppliers always change their quotation, how does Jade & Co. quotation stand? Are Jade & Co. China quotations reliable?

    Yes have a reporting system and ALL the quotation must be approved by 1 reporting layer in order to avoid any potential problem with quote. Because we own our factory in China, we are aware of the real cost so we have the capabilities to respect our quote.

  • Is your factory having CTPAT certification in China?

    We are currently working to get the CTPAT certification for our factory.

  • Is your factory ISO in China?

    No, we have every strict fabrication procedures and believe in TQM and Lean manufacturing to avoid potential problem.

  • Usually the sales representative of my China suppliers do not know anything about engineering or manufacturing, they are just translator. Does Jade & Co. Account manager in China are the same?

    We believe experienced Account manager can have better sales. For this reason our company always hire experience Account manager in China with engineering background.

  • I work with China since 8 years and my supplier sales representative turnover is very high. It seems they have difficulty to keep their staff in China.

    Our turnover in China since we start operating in 2005 has been less than 16%, we believe treating our people with respect, challenging project and giving them incentive in a nice working environment will keep them happy to work with us.

  • What are Jade & Co. Target customers in terms of purchasing $ in China?

    We believe there is not good or bad customers. Our smallest client buy around 20,000 USD / year in China, our largest customer buy around 2,800,000 USD in China / year. Our average customers buy around 175,000 USD / year in China.

  • Do you use AQL to do quality control before shipment in your factory?

    We use AQL for every shipment but we strongly believe it is better to inspect every hour during production. For this reason, our workers are trained to inspect their co-worker parts.

  • What is the minimum order size / value you accept in China?

    Usually, our clients order a minimum of 2,500 USD / SKU per order.

  • Do you have any references from customers who work with you in the past so we could verify your credential as a potential China suppliers?

    Should you need any references, please contact us at info@Jade & Co..com and we will provide you reference upon request as we need to request approval from our customers first.

  • How do we pay Jade & Co. invoices?

    We accept TT and LC.

  • Can Jade & Co. China, as our preferred Contract Manufacturer in China, finance our tooling or at least amortize our tooling in China?

  • Can Jade & Co. ship products to our factory in China or to our suppliers in China?

    There is no problem, we have the import/export licence to ship to any company in China and/or outside China.

  • Can Jade & Co. process raw material from oversea for us?

    There is no problem, we have the import/export licence to import most of the raw material we may need.

  • How can I know if Jade & Co. is a potential reliable factory to work with in China?

    The best and fastest way is to visit our factory in China and we will be please to demonstrate how we work as well as to show you our manufacturing process, quality control process in China.


  • Which type of steel do you have access in your factory?

    In China, the biggest steel producing country of the world, we can find a lot of different kind of steel. At Jade & Co., depending of the customer specification, we usually use Hot Rolled steel (Q235, Q275), Cold Rolled steel, Stainless steel (304, 316, 201, 430).


  • Which type of plastic do you use in your factory?

    As for steel, it is easy for us to match with your plastic specification material because we have a lot of choice in China. We usually use for our plastic injection : ABS, ABSV0, PE, HDPE, PP, Nylon(PA6, PA66) PC, uPVC and PVC.

  • What is TIG and MIG welding?

    Metal Inert Gas (MIG) and Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) are both shielded arc welding applications, but they are very different. MIG welding is created with a consumable electrode, while TIG welding is created with a non-consumable electrode. TIG welding includes filler metal as well.

  • What is the difference between a simple die stamping and a progressive stamping?

    A progressive stamping die is a metalworking device that is designed and built to perform two or more operations sequentially at different positions. A simple die stamping is designed to perform only one operation.

  • How do you get your clients?

    Most of our clients are from Canada, USA, Europe and South-East Asia and we have been referred to them by word of mouth.

  • Can you take charge of the shipment DDU(Door to Door) or CIF our Country?

    Yes, this is possible for Jade & Co. to handle your shipment (produce by Jade & Co.) to supervise / book the shipment on your behalf as we already have a network of Shipping Forwarder we work with for various countries.

  • What is the difference between FOB and EXW terms?

    EXW (Ex Works) and FOB (Free on Bord) are a pre-defined commercial terms (called Incoterm) widely use in international commercial transactions.
